Glove compartment

The glove box is plastic so a lock would only slightly slow someone down. Living in the area I do, the last thing I would do is leave my gun in my vehicle. You see a couple news stories a week about a gun being stolen in a vehicle break in. The best bet in your case with no center console is to probably hard mount/bolt to the floor, one of those small handgun safes under your seat.

Our 2012 and 2013 XL F150 work trucks have the jump seat and there is a hidden compartment under the seat cushion. It took me almost 6 months to discover it. Nobody else at work knew about it either. Unless they changed for the 2014 model year, you should have it on yours.

My subcompact 9mm fits under the stereo in the small cubby. Extra magazines and fox pepper spray in the center console's lower sliding tray/cup holder. ASP baton stuffs nicely next to the driver's seatbelt receiver.
