Default Getting another EcoBoost

I had a 2012 F-150 SC EB, a few month ago I had a brainfart and thought I wanted another Dodge Cummins so I traded for a 2010 Laramie CTD. Nice truck but I just missed my F-150.

Found a 2012 FX4 SC EB with the Luxuary Package and less then 24K miles at the local Dodge dealer. I drove it yesterday and they gave me a really good deal (been buying from them for about 20 years). Anyway, Friday I will get my FX4. They just got it in and it hasn't been serviced or detailed yet. It is Tuxedo Black and the only thing it doesn't have is navigation, I will fix that later.

By the way, the EB tows almost as good as the Cummins!

It's a great truck.....welcome back. And gas is at a reasonable price these days, compared to diesel!!

Thanks!

Yes, regular is almost $1.00 cheaper then diesel around here, not to mention the better fuel economy the EB gets. I am also looking forward to the quieter and way more comfortable ride. Cant wait until tomorrow morning.

So, I picked up my new (to me) FX4 this morning; the wife and I took it for about a 50 mile drive and we both love it. Much nicer then the XLT I had because now I have heated/cooled leather seats, moon roof, and the full center console with a floor shifter.

Tomorrow I will install vent visors and the new Ford bumper insert. Really the only ugly part of any EcoBoost........the unfinished look of the hole in the front bumper.

Brittany,

Thanks for the offer! Hopefully I won't need any assistance from Ford Service directly. My local dealer (Seller-Sexton) is top notch and always took good care of any minor warranty issues I had with my other truck.

That's funny I did the same thing. 6 months ago I traded my 12 Eco for a powerstroke. I traded the powerstroke off on a 13 platinum Eco yesterday. Feels so good to be back. I love the diesel power and it's fun to play but it was a tank to drive..

Like you said, any 3/4 diesel truck is heavy and the ride quality is not as good. I towed with both of them and, unless you put something over *K pounds behind it the EcoBoost does just as good as a diesel truck. By the way, Toddman34, you are only 120 miles form my location (Ft. Wood).

I will post some pictures in a few days. Pretty much a stocK, really clean FX4.
