hmmmm... Well to solve one of your problems, try to use "Air Droid" it lets you use the tablet from the pc so you can be at your desk.
2) You don't need to be rooted. Although for android later than ~4.1? its better to be. My files are optimized for rooted devices, but may/would need some tweaking for each device
3) as for the tasker .... try to uninstall tasker, delete all tasker files.
Install an older version of tasker Try version "Tasker.1.3u1m.apk" here and see if you can do a backup/restore. if you can, load the files, then update tasker.
to install this you will have to enable "unknown sources" in security

I found a cool app today, Tablet Talk. When connected with an android tablet and an android phone, it lets the tablet control the phone's phone calls and text messages. If you get a call, you get a cool pop up. You can also dial from the tablet. and apparently text message but i didn't try texting.
Using torque, Sync, Phone, and BT Music, everything seemed to work very well.
Here's a youtube clip, kinda crappy.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Scosche kit seems to be the most seamless and easy to mount when paired with a Nexus 7 right? The Metra kit looks too big?
Which Scosche dash kit works with a 2011 f150?
I'm only finding a kit for 2009 trucks
Is this the right one?

I think All the BFT gifs were uploaded right? Did you only copy one or all of them?
If you only have one gif file, check to make sure the gif file in the tasker scene is linked/named properly.

Yellow I looked at all of that I copied all of them into the folder and they are all gif format I thought I had them all set up correctly I tried to do something to get it to go to the folder and it didn't work right idk if I topped in something wrong or what happened I'll keep messing with it lol

I've had my Nexus 7 installed for a few weeks now and I'm really considering going back to stock. The cons seem to be outweighing the pros...
- the GPS sucks, it struggles just to get a signal. I've tried Google maps and NavFree. My phone works way better.
- it doesn't seem offer any benefit for playing music compared to syncing a phone or ipod
- I don't care about torque
- the screen is too hard to see with polarized sunglasses
- I have to say "bluetooth audio" every time I start the truck to connect it if I want to play audio through it.
Are there some major pros I'm missing out on ??? The main thing I wanted was to have a factory looking GPS with a map displayed at all times. So far it's been a headache more than anything.
