No problems with the Xyboard GPS either. Works fine sitting in the garage as well.

For the record, mine is mounted with the charging port to the driver's side right now. I had the idea of trying to Skype but the program is upside down with the tablet mounted this way. So, I might turn the tablet the other way. How sturdy is the hot glue potting method?

.... Plus I'm using the blue sea dual usb and it doesn't seem to be getting ahead on the charging. 2.1a total output.

I've had mine hot glued in for a month now with no issues.

I found that GPS eats the most battery. I made a toggle on the home screen. Also, some kernals are better than others for battery usage than others. On the Franco kernal I have done the best.

I have an idea which may help the discharge issue.

Have two power sources, AC power and DC power.
The DC power will be on all the time, (shouldn't really effect the main battery)
The AC will be switched with the ignition.
Use a usb Y- cable, with the primary set to the AC power
Set tasker to Power AC & Not power AC instead of Power Any / Not Power Any

I typically don't have many problems with discharging, but since some seem to be having issues, heres a possible solution.

Ya I don't have an issue with power drain at all.
Only time it has ever gone below %70 is when I was not in the truck for 7 days on a trip. Got back it was at 65% hour drive home fully charged it

Played around with my tab a bunch yesterday. I highly recommend a 'Youtube to mp3' app. There's many to pick from.

Using this, I can download (almost) any song for free in about 20 seconds and it saves it right to my music library.

The main reason I did this install was because I use Spotify as my main source of music. I can download all of my songs (320 kbps files) directly on the tablet (using house wifi of course) and just put Spotify in offline mode... DONE! Never have to use my cell data to play/stream songs.

What's that "screen" app? Icon looks familiar...

Is it possible to set the bottom buttons up like that on the nexus 7? I like how they are to the left and the app drawer is down there also.
