Genos 9" android tablet install

Installed the Nexus 7 in the Scosche kit. I used a thin line of hot glue instead of making a mount. I also have the Metra kit just haven't tracked down a Xyboard yet. I didn't have to move the radio because it's plenty thin. Hooked it all up tonight and I get little or no GPS reception. The glue was just a temporary mock up but it held so well I thought I'd give it a try. But now I'm wondering if I glued it in with the GPS antenna on the bottom? Thought I would share and thanks to Yellowfin for sharing your tasker files.
Edit: I popped the glue off and reversed the tablet. GPS is now working great! I realize that using hot glue is probably considered tacky "pun intended", but it works great. Four drops on each corner and it locks the tablet in place. Easy to remove with a quick slice of a razor blade and then just peel it off the glass. No need to move the radio or design a mount.

NIce, cool. Both of the tablets i have were both skinner than the audio control board so no need to turn the cd unit.
I just mounted my N7 yesterday and get great gps signal, which way did you end up mounting it, the camera towards you? Onething i noticed about my old samsung tab7p, i am able to see the screen with polarized sunglasses on, the N7 screen is turned 90* so your mostly able to see it. But the N7 works so much smother.
It turns out parts of my old tasker files aren't compatible with the N7. So I will upload the new files

So this could be interesting, and maybe a way to get a rearview camera working. Might have to try this..

BTW, I'm using a Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 (screen resolution 1200 x 800) and no, I'm not planning to mount in the console. Instead I installed a simple arm mount like this -
I'm using a temporary mount because I still think the tablet is a pretty nifty toy and sometimes play with it when I'm not in the truck. And also so I can get the tablet high enough so it can see out the front and work as a dash cam.
I'm using DailyRoads for the dash cam, Torque widgets for gauges and CoPilot GPS for nav. For music I'm just using Sync USB which is a bit flakey sometimes. Still working things out system-wise.
