Because the USB 2 does not put out enough amps to charge a phone much less a tablet. Ever notice how when you plug a phone into the USB one it charges SUPER SLOW~~

The tablet needs 2.1 amps to charge correctly

I figured that was the reason but wanted to be sure. I actually have never used the USB for a phone. I have a Droid Razr Max. The battery does well in it.

Where did you pick up the switched power from?

Thanks again for the guidance.

There is a wire under the dash in the bundle where the OBD 2 port is, Just used a crimp on splice conector color it was white with an orange stripe

Here is a pic of the extra 12v plug on the switched source

How do you use it as a nav unit when it's wifi only? Do you just tether it to a phone? Or did the 3G version drop and I just missed it

Nice backgrounds my son made for me

The twin turbo one looks real good it just came out blurry in the photo

Matches the factory gauges nicely

Anyone with an FX4 and red guages that wants these let me know I can send them to you

Tether or preload. Or Navfree app or copilot app
