What are the major issues with Gen 12 trucks? What to look out for? Thanks

they are good trucks, I wouldn’t worry much. Fuse 27 is the only issue I was worried about and it’s a easy and cheap fix.

Do yourself a favor and get a 5.0 or 6.2. Eco has way too many problems especially with the timing system which you will have eventually.

Issue with back window defrost
issue with IWE
Eco issues like mentioned plus intercooler drain issues
electronic powersteering can have issues
3rd brake light problems (could be all other trucks tho)
driveshaft bearing issue on 6.5’ beds

The power steering isn't so much a common issue, it's just EXPENSIVE.

I agree. I have owned both a 3.5 Eco and my current 5.0 powered truck. Would not touch an Eco with a 10' pole. I will not get into the details here, you can search my ID for more info on my Eco experience.
