What ballpark cost would be involved to make all the necessary changes?
I assume the computer has to be updated after the gears are changed?
Any transmission work needed?
Lastly, I'm assuming that any warranty would be voided if I made the change?

Just trying to keep the physics as close to original design as possible.
Now that you said $500, I'll stick with 33's instead.

Because I'm running with 35" tires. When you run a larger tire than stock and still have the stock gears, your motor and trans have to work harder to rotate the big tires. When the motor works harder, you burn more fuel. Now that I have a steeper gear, it's easier for the motor and trans to turn the bigger tires, thus consuming less fuel, especially when doing a lot of city driving.
