If I am not mistaken your truck requires more frequent maintenance w/E85. Not sure you would gain much. Maybe use less foreign oil if that is what you are after

Default The real problem is you can't fill up!

The real problem is when you try to fill up an empty tank. They set the damn pumps to shut off at $75. That's a little bit more than 1/2 full on a 36 gallon tank. Why have a 36 gallon tank when you can only buy 25 gallons at the pump?

Sometimes I get lucky and I can re-swipe the card to finish the fill up. Sometimes I have to drive to the next gas station to fill up.

What a friggin' waste of time.

Lol, you can always reswipe and do it again, but you have to wait a couple minutes or so because normally when you reswipe the same card it want to give you a recipt. Just wait a minute and try it again after the pump resets. Ive never had it not work, but you are right, its annoying. Fill up when it gets to half to avoid this problem, haha!

While this is a true statement, most of us here are already meeting or exceeding this 'requirement'.

Use of E85, 50% or more of the time, falls under Special Operating Conditions; i.e., you must change your oil and filter every 5,000 miles or every 6 months.

The only other requirement they have, is that [once] each 3,000 miles of operation with E85, you should run one full tank of unleaded. As I average 1K p/mo unless I am making a periodic run down to L.A., that is not too much of a chore to accomplish every two or three months.

Oh well, the U.S. still imports about 3 million barrels of gasoline a day, due to lack of refining capacity. And that just ain't right, is it?
This is also not true. If a refinery is full conversion they make gasoline. Some just partially crack the oil then send it to other plants to split it further into gasoline and clean it up. There is a shortage of capacity though and u can think the epa for this cause new air permits aren't cost effective so refineries don't build new units here. And our continuing lack of domestic oil, well u can think your boy Obama for that
