Thanks for getting this back on topic. HEMI LOL should have stepped away a long time ago. I just got 14.6 mpg driving 60mph over 360 miles...

Look it up) mine holds it's value much better so in 5 years from now I won't have lost near the amount of value and my money was better spent. .

Your childish remarks are just fuel to the fire sir
OK....what I stated was more of a joke than anything...didn't talk down to you, criticize your truck, or call your remarks childish...looks like your taking things a little to personal....

Toyota is going thru some growing pains themselves. none of the automakers want to go thru a massive recall. yota had their hand pushed when that CHP & his family got killed in the lexus... which reminds me, their recall letter was the most confusing thing I've ever seen. is it the floormat? the pedal? both? I have no idea. I check the wife's floormat regularly & told her to put the car in neutral & pull off to the side, try & shut the key off when u can. if the engine blows, it blows. but if yota won't fix it, I'm throwing it away & buying something else.

NB: I'm actually asking for guideance on this - worry about it or what should people do???

Ford's case with the tires, there was plenty of blame to go around. firestone put out some crappy tires. ford wanted to please it's customers with a softer ride, so they put softer - underrated tires on, & said customers thought they could still tow & haul like a regular pickup can. neither ford nor firestone wanted to recall. one of the reasons you no longer can get firestones on a new ford.
just watch the floormats. they are reshaping the throttle pedal to create more room to make it very difficult to ever have enough of any mat to make the pedal get stuck.

the drive by wire system is on many many fords as well. they have double and triple redundancies so that they NEVER fail. the slightest change in the system will force the throttle back to idle.

the latest is because they have found in one design that if it wore the wrong way that it could slowly develop a problem where the throttle pedal wont return to its resting position as fast as it should and so not to have anymore issues come up they are being proactive with this last one. our service dept. has absolutely NEVER had a problem with anything like this at all. fyi we sell 350-400 cars a month and have the busiest service dept. in cincy.

Start a new thread about how awesome your Toyota is, stop hi-jacking this one.

if you didnt just jump on the bandwagon and read that i was forced to defend myself from the very begining maybe you wouldnt just act like i was just tryin to start somethin or just act as if my truck was better. but thats fine, apparantly some of the people on here arent capable of bein civil with anyone else. its ashame that there are people that shallow and close minded.

dude, you ever hear of being the bigger man and walking away? do you always have to get the last word? this is beyond annoying. please go start a new thread. i was actually interested in peoples mpg. not how great your toyota is. i dont like the tundra. not because its not a ford but because i dont like the design of it. toyota to me always looks like its trying to immitate other manufacturers designs. it looked similar to an f150 a while ago, now it looks similar to a dodge. im not saying its fact just somethin i think it looks like. however i love the old fj40's. my mom owns a lexus, think its a great car. i like the camry, like the 4runner, dont care for their trucks. too overpriced for me. so im gonna state what i hope everyone takes into consideration.

F150 IS A GREAT TRUCK TO THOSE ON THE F15O FORUM, THE TUNDRA IS A GREAT TRUCK TO THOSE ON THE TUNDRA FORUMS, THE DODGE RAM IS A GREAT TRUCK TO THOSE ON THE DODGE FORUM, AND SO ON AND SO ON!!!! so please everyone lets get back to how many mpg you get driving your F150.

ill start---> today with a 40 mph tailwind i got 21mpg (according to the little gauge in the dash) normally i get around 18-19 on the interstate and like 15ish in town. i have the 2010 fx4 scab 3.73 gears. thanks and sorry if i stepped on any toes.

and everyone no last word comments. im tempted to message the mods for it to be locked its getting rediculous. also i cant spell worth a dang.
