I average 15-16 mpg with a 2.5 inch level, 275/65R20 tires and a tune. I have a motorcycle for gas mileage.

My work truck is a 2012 with a 5.0 and it gets about the same. That mpg is said to be about standard for the 8 f150s in the local company fleet.
Moved a coworkers truck that never leaves town the other day and his had 10.5 on the dash with about 500lbs in the back.
The company trucks never haul more than a few hundred pounds and are pure stock.
My 2010 stx with 4.6 reads 21mpg on the dash. Actual is about high 18's to 19. As I mentioned before, I use non ethanol, 100% gas. Back when I used normal 87 e10 I got 14-15.

The old 01, 5.4, 2-valve got 17-20 on he interstate depending on speed, wind, etc.....
City was no more than 12-14.
If I remembered to pickup the gas on Tuesday at Pure (no ethanol) I could get the 89 octane for the same price as 87. It would get 1-2 miles better and ran better too.
I've tried high test, but it was, well.....just never worth it.
Shell 89 worked a little better than most others too.
Shop around, but your right in the ballpark now for mileage.

I've always wondered the same thing. My truck (screw, 4x4, 5.0) sets in the upper 14s on the dash. I've came to the conclusion that their definition of city driving or mixed driving is way different than mine.

Many peoples first mistake is believing the dash readout. Some are accurate, many are not. If I actually believed mine, I'd be getting 21-22 mpg.

I have only owned my 2010 since July and been getting 11 to 12 city. Think I got mid 14s on a mix tank. Haven't had it long enough to take it on a full all highway run so curious what that will yield me. I have the 3.73 rear end so I figure if I get 18 to 19 that will be good. My city diving is usually short trips too which I know hurt.
