Default FX4 v XLT

ok, so what exactly are the benefits of the FX4 over the XLT now that you can get the locker as an option on the XLT?

see, I cant seem to find anything that indicates a different suspension or stance at all and they look about the same at the dealer. skids plates are easy, they can be added later if need be.

For 2011, I don't see a lot of differences compared to a similarly equipped 4x4 XLT with e-locker and the tow package (which includes skid plates and the SelectShift transmission).

I think these are the differences:
  • FX4 has a front stabilizer bar.
  • FX4 has some options that aren't available on XLT such as leather seating, leather wrapped steering wheel, ability to select a different side mirror option, ability to select a better radio option.
  • FX4 appearance is different than XLT.
  • FX4 costs more.
I considered FX4, but decided to order an XLT and save about $3k I think.

Correction: if you get the "XLT Convenience Package" (which I did), then you get the leather wrapped steering wheel.

By getting various options on the XLT, you can come pretty close to what FX4 offers, and still save about $3k+. It won't be an FX4... but that's okay with me.

OHHHH, I forgot right now if you try and choose the E locker with the 6.2 you cannot get it................ I dont know if that will be the case with the EB but with the 6.2 the Elocker is not an option.
