Default FX4 Appearance Package Running Boards Color Code?

Does anyone know the color code for the FX4 appearance package running boards? I put a big scratch on mine and want to touch it up before it starts rusting. Lucky for me the scratch is towards the bottom side, so not too noticable. I just want to keep it from rusting.

I assume they are steel, I havent tried a magnet on them. I believe them to be steel as I had a history report ran on this truck and the boards were replaced once under warranty due to them rusting. Maybe the mounts were rusting and not the boards. Ill have to try a magnet on them.

Mine are showing signs of rust on the ends, some bubbling. I guess I haven't checked to make sure it is steel and rust. But, the appearance package didn't include special steps that year as far as I know. Mine are rounded basic ones that can also be found on XLT, maybe even XL. Don't know color codes.

There are so many different steps, and people and dealers will swap them around. Sometimes it's hard to tell what actually came with what option. And some are steel, some aluminum.

There are no specific color codes for running boards, only exterior body panels/bumpers if also painted and interior trim colors. Just dab some black paint on the scratch and fuhgetaboutit.
