Default FX2 20" plasti dip

So I have a black 2011 fx2 Ecoboost. And I'm gonna do a gloss black plastidip on the 20" wheels. I'm just wondering if I should change the emblems to the appearance package emblems (black and red). Or should I just keep the silver ones? Also, since it is an Ecoboost the silver badge will stay as well. Do y'all think all the silver badges would look weird with a completely otherwise black truck? Does anyone have any pictures with an fx2 with the 20" black rims but the normal silver badges and Ecoboost badge?

I changed out my emblems to appearance package ones on my 2010 FX2 and also swapped out wheels for the black appearance package rims....looks really sharp. Id say go for it....i have pics in my profile/garage. Hope the plastidip turns out good...havent heard to much on that process.

Do you think it would look weird to just do the black rims and keep the silver emblems??

The appearance package emblems are really expensive, and I don't really wanna buy them unless it would look weird with out them if you know what I mean...

Nah it wouldnt look weird if you left them on .....you prob have the same ones i did ( silver & black) i had them on for a few days before i swapped out to app pkg ones and it looked good too. Btw i paid about $130 for the all 3 emblems on Tascaparts.com ...dont know if thats same price you've found or not.

Ya that's exactly what I'm debating doing. Do you happen to have any pics of your truck before you swapped your emblems??

I would *LOVE* before / after pics. Sounds like our trucks are nearly identical. I've never done it before and am very worried about how it would hold up given I wash the truck nearly once a week. My neighbor has the black ones and I really like them but just can't help but wonder what mine would ultimately look like without the other appearance package items.

Nice looking truck for sure. I'm not worried about the durability of the plasti dip. I've used it before on a friends car (kind of used him as a test dummy). And it worked well so now I gave myself the green light to do mine. Just not sure how it would look without the appearance package emblems.
