There, a couple screws came out to remove the handle and surrounding plastic to tuck the cable behind to get it to the fuse panel area. Easy-peasy so far. Once I got the cable to the fuse panel area by the passenger's feet the trouble began. The fuse tap gizmos that came with the kit are a little broader than the fuse (by necessity because a fuse plugs into them), but Ford saw fit to install the fuses into little plastic "canyons" that protrude past the top of the fuse, both left and right. I ended up having to cut out sections of the "canyon walls" to make room for the plug. Would be pretty easy if I didn't have to do it halfway standing on my head to get to this spot. Seems almost every maker tries to find the least accessible spot in the vehicle to put the hear of all the truck's wiring. Once I clearanced out enough plastic, I used position 6 for the "always on" lead and position 38 for the switched-power lead. Installing the camera at the rear license plate and routing the cable from there to the front were pretty straightforward.

Definitely a huge improvement to be able to see behind the bed. Highly recommended upgrade.

The add a fuse you had was probably not the correct one. The members here (audio and stereo section) told me which one I needed. There was mini and something else as I recall. My local parts stores didn't have them. (I brought the fuse with me) I got an Amazon link from the forum wizards. Glad to hear you got it working. That was a feature I add also after moving from a Ranger back to a F150.

the tap you wanted to use was a Micro2 styled fuse.
