Fuse 43 Blown BJB, What All Is On That Circuit?
Last night my friend called me up and said his 2013 F-150 wouldn't start, and asked me to come take a look at it. It would crank but not start, and I listened for the fuel pump and could not hear it, so I started checking fuses. Found that Fuse 43 in the battery junction box was blown (15 amp), replaced it with a good one and the truck fired right up.
Buddy didn't have an owners manual, so when I got home I looked it up (http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Fo.../13f12om3e.pdf) and Fuse 43 was listed as "Trailer tow back-up lamp relay power". I'm assuming more is powered up from that relay, but could find no information anywhere as to what exactly it is.
If anybody knows I'd greatly appreciate the information!

Thank you! Seems strange that the truck wouldn't start until that fuse was replaced, if nothing "important" is on that circuit. I'm glad that it fixed it, don't get me wrong, just still very strange, especially with no other problems found.

Fuse 43 and 27 are basically next to each other and you may have bumped it (while changing 43) enough to make contact. Fuse 27 is for the fuel pump and some trucks have issues with that fuse.

Or shoved it down enough when I checked them with the test light maybe? Didn't think about that but it makes a lot of sense.
