Default Fuse #27 relocate question.

Has anyone had this issue with the 3.5 eco boost engine. I bought the kit from my dealer just for insurance but while watching the video on utube I noticed the paperwork had in parentheses (5 and 6.2). The truck he was working on had the 3.7 engine in it. I have a 2014 with 3.5 eco boost and don’t have the problem yet but only have 25,000 on the clock. Just wondering if the tsb applies to all engines. Thanks for any replies.

I think it applies up to 2014 on all engines. they have the same micro-fuse for the fuel pump.

It only applies to the 5.0 and 6.2 - 2011-2014, neither of the v6's are affected.

Go for it, its cheap insurance

My 5.0 fuse was fine but I installed the larger fuse kit anyway, $17 and about 30 minutes of my time, easy

Okay, but the one on utube that they are performing the fuse relocate on has signs of melting in the fuse box and he said it’s a 3.7 v-6.

All I can tell you is what I know of the TSB, here's a copy of it.

Okay thanks. I will keep it in my truck toolbox. If it ain’t broke I’m not going to fix it. Not looking for trouble. Thanks to all who responded and Merry Christmas!

I installed the kit as preventive maintenance on my '12, 3.7 v6.

The piece of mind was (and is) well worth the $17 and less than 1 hour time.

So I bought a 2013 couple months back and haven't had a prob yet with the fuel pump sensor but since their is an official tsb for the issue will ford fix it even though the fuse is fine at the moment or does the fuse have to be melted to have the tsb work done so ford picks up the tab.

It's a tsb, not a recall. Ford won't pick up the tab no matter what outside of warranty. Do it yourself.
