Got them installed on both F-150 and 4 Runner...work like a champ...better if drained while oil is warm...

I have one on my 2011 Ecoboost. I bought the one that has the nipple on it so you can add a drain hose into an old oil jug. Drain it when its hot. No burnt fingers or messy oil splatter anymore. I highly recommend.
My next mod will be a remote dual oil filter to make oil filter changes completely mess-free.

Is anyone needing to use the available adapter for the 5.0, or does the valve seal just fine directly to the oil pan?

I have been thinking about one of these for quite a while, but forgot all about it. This thread has re-sparked my interest, and now I will have to order one.

I believe the thread is the same size for most Ford gas engines. I pulled the one from my 2006 5.4 and installed it in my Eco. No problems and no adapter required. I recommend getting the one that has the nipple so you can put a drain hose on it. Makes draining real easy as someone already suggested…
