Default Fuel level on cluster dropping fast

Hi,
I have a 2011 F150 supercrew 6.5ft bed with the 5.0l and 36 gallon tank. I used to get around 570-600 miles to a tank no issues, but recently I've been batting my fuel level reading improperly and it makes driving long distance annoying.
Symptoms WERE fuel gauge not showing full when filled and would be at 3/4 tank. Replaced the purge valve and fuel pump/sending unit and now my fuel level reads normally when I fill up!
Symptoms ARE NOW that when driving, my miles to E and my gas gauge drop extremely fast after about 50 miles of driving from a fill up. Like dropping to a half a tank reading in 100 miles. I have been filling the truck up from empty and it only takes 16 gallons every time when at less than a 1/4 tank. I read somewhere that the cluster could be bad so I have one being shipped out, but my gauge tests work and there aren't any DTCs for the IPC. No pressure build up in the tank either.
Does anyone have any experience with this type of issue?

Part # REPF314582. It was for both the fuel pump and sending unit for the 36gal tank

Same symptoms as you - down to half a tank after only 100 miles. He used a non-extended range sender in the 36 gallon tank.

With a non-Motorcraft part, it's hard to say if it's correct or not even if they claim it cross-references to the correct part. At $70 vs. $270 for the real part, I'd have to think long and hard about going with the Motorcraft, too. If the old pump was good, you can get just the sending unit for $60.

Makes sense! I'll order a new motorcraft sending unit and see if that's the issue. The listing for the one I had installed claimed it was for a 36gal tank but it makes sense that this starts happening right after I replace both parts.

Check RockAuto for the best price I've seen on the sending unit.

Default Update

I replaced the sending unit. The fuel level read normally once started, but the miles till E are still dropping by about 4 miles for every 1 mile. I have tried to let it relearn for the first 500 miles but nothing has changed. I'm thinking of replacing the whole cluster at this point. Any other leads/advice?
