Default Fuel gauge issue

I have a 2012 F150 5.0 w/ 36 gal tank. Two weeks ago was driving to work and gas gauge dropped to E. Pulled over put gas in it and turned back on was working fine. After work while driving home gas gauge dropped back to E and check engine light came on. got the code read and it was in the P0460's so they said could be your fuel level sensor malfunctioning. Over the next week i got a new pump and sending unit dropped the tank replaced and put back on the truck. When restarting the truck after repairs the gas gauge and truck was running perfect. Had to do a minor repair on it (spark plugs) so i disconnected to the battery did the repair connected the battery back up and started the truck. Everything ran great for about 5-10 minutes then the gas gauge dropped back to E and when in park now if i give the truck gas it will kill itself. Anyone can help me out? It is at the dealer service department right now and the first thing they said is new pump and sender assembly. Now i know these guys are supposed to be smart, however I am about 90% sure the pump is NOT the issue.

Possible corrosion in a connector or wire harness? I'd want to physically inspect the wires from the tank before letting them put another unit in it.

I had a similar issue with my 2011 XLT 5.0, 36 gal tank. My gauge and MTE would drop BUT my truck would continue to operate even with the fuel gauge on E and the MTE at 0. The dealers (2) both changed out the fuel pump/sending units with no change. It turned out to be the instrument cluster. After that was replaced there have been no more fuel level issues. I hope that this helps!!!

Yes i talked to them yesterday and they told me change the fuel pump. I told them that's the last option right now cause i know the cost of repairs skyrocket. So lets see what they come up with when i get my update today.

Evap purge valve? See if your fuel tank is sucked in underneath...

Issue was in the wiring for me. Cracked at the wire loom. Probably the same reason I'm getting the p0451 code. Joys of ownership of a former fleet truck.
