Default Frustrated with the maintenance schedule

I have an '09 FX4 Screw. It has 83,000km so I'm starting to look at real maintenance.

Trouble is, the Ford maintenance manual sucks. As you all know, it's pretty generic across Ford vehicles. It recommends all sorts of service that simply does not apply to our vehicles.

For the 96,000km service this is what I've come with for actual service required:

- Oil change
- Engine Air Filter
- Brake Inspection
- Inspect wheels for end play or noise
- Replace wheel bearing grease seal--but nobody seems to know what this is.

Is that seriously it? No fluids besides oil? No belts? Nadda?

100k used to be a big maintenance on vehicles. virtually all fluids were dumped, belts were done, etc. The F150 seems to be virtually maintenance free if I am understanding things correctly.

This day and age it seems that everything has a service life and then you just buy a new one not repair the old. Not built to last 20,30, even 40 years like the old trucks.

It's not a big deal anymore, really. My WRX calls for plugs at that point, but other than that it's just a fancy oil change. Timing belt, coolant, and brake fluid flush at 100k miles.
