Default Factory car start

Does anyone know if you can take a 2008 f150 factory car starter out and put it in a 2011 f150?

I know the 2011's are plug and play
I don't know if the 2008 are plug and play
or if they are even compatible?

The 2008 remote start is not plug and play. It's possible you could make it work but it would be much easier to get one that is for a 2011 and is plug and play.

Agreed, but even the 2011's can't take plug and play system. Vehicle must be a 2012+

Edit: I stand corrected.

The dealer has to activate it but other then that it is plug and play on 2011. I did it on mine.

You buy the remote and plug it into the TPMS, then get dealer or someone that has IDS to enable it.

Takes less than 5 mins to install it.
