Default Front Sensing System

I have a 2011 FX4 SCREW with FX Luxury Package on order. I just went out to Ford's website to rebuild my truck to get all the package details for my credit union in order to get my financing in set up.

I noticed that Ford has changed the build site a little and now has more accessories available.

For the FX Luxury Package, it shows that there is the Rear Sensing System as a $0 accessory -- which is what I would expect since that should be included with the FX Luxury Package.

It also shows that there is a Front Sensing System as a $0 accessory.

Anybody ever heard of the Front Sensing System? It isn't in the owner's manual anywhere. Would that really be a $0 accessory with the FX Luxury Package?

If you do have that Front Sensing System a lot of us would be interested in putting it on our trucks...

My 07 tundra had it. Pretty handy imo. Hard to tell where the nose is on these things.

I'm guessing that Ford's build site is wrong in showing it as a $0 accessory. I tried building a truck without the luxury package (this removing the included rear sensing system) and it still showed as a $0 accessory. So odds are that it is an available accessory, but we don't know the cost yet.

I have an email into my dealer to get more information.

The picture that came up when I clicked the link looks like the "hitch step" that is sold by Echomaster as an aftermarket item.

You're looking at it...how hard can it be to tell where your front end is?

I can see it now, soon enough there is going to be a camera on every corner, and every side of these trucks. Going to have 16 screen's in the cab, two for each camera so you can have regular as well as heat sensitive imagery.

Optional will be the wheel and tire cameras, so you can see the front and back of each tire so you know your not going to run over your dogs chew toy.
