I have a front receiver on my Jeep.
I park my trailer in the corner of my lot.
having the front receiver gives you complete control of the direction you are going with that trailer.
I know, some people take pride in their ability to maneuver their trailer, I do too. But, if you can mount it and make it fit witout obstructing air etc...do it!.

Matzfx4 - that's one mean machine.

Attaboybob - da boat gets maneuvered into its winter home down South using an E-350 with a front hitch. Couldn't get into the boatport backing it cause of an inconvenient tree.

I was thinking of getting this http://www.truckspring.com/front-mou...eiver_943.html for my truck, cause I have the westin bull-bar with the lights on front, and no place to mount the winch. The only problem I will have with it, is the clearance. How bad is the clearance cut off when off-roading, do you find yourself hitting bottoming out alot. I only have a 3" lift, so I think i'll bottom out if I put the front hitch on.

Is this a problem for anyone else?

Default Dust it off

Just bought and installed the Draw Tite front receiver hitch for my 2007 XLT. Easy to do and now can maneuver the boat around tight turns. Also bought a K2 snowplow that attaches via front hitch. I have yet to use the plow but it seems to operate fine and hangs securely.

Had one on 2 trucks.Great for winch mount and a easy place to mount the train horn compressor. Had to cut some slots in the ends of the air dam and for the reciever part but its all under there.

Default Used the plow...

K2 plow is great for driveway or small private road. It's almost identical to the snowbear plow that was discontinued. It hangs way far out front though since I use a 4" drop receiver in my front hitch before the plow though. Did my driveway (100' long) in about ten minutes with five inches of snow.

Front hitch is an inexpensive and worthwhile mod.
