Default Front Grill vs Winter

So this is the second winter I have had my truck and im noticing that ford didn't take in to account winter condition for our truck. So i go out last night to put windshield wash in, lift up the hood and there is about 5" of ice and snow in that rubber catch flap where that stupid opening in the bumper is and my radiator has another 2" ice on it. In my opinion the front end is way to open, glad i didn't get a eco boost now cause them turbos would be getting any air flow in the front cause of the snow build up. They should of put a screen of snow catcher or something. Anyone else experience this and have to scoop out snow in the front end?

My Eco is usually parked in a garage that's heated to around 44 degs so IF there was any ice or snow it's melted off fairly quickly…………

Well for me mine is out in the elements 24/7, my garage has a sled and BRZ filling it up now. Plus with 6.5' bed she don't fit in.

Yep… been there and done that… Built a new 2400 sq ft detached shop/garage a few years ago. One of best things I ever did for myself and only slightly behind divorcing my PITA wife… lol
