Find where it hits... If its rough smooth it out an then put some grease where it hits or if its not rough just grease it.. That's what ima do

Do you have a picture on where to place the tape?

I think I just heard this today with my 2013 FX4 SCrew. But i was sitting still in my yard and I heard a bit of a creak when I hit full lock.

But hopefully its just the steering stops.

Im already nervous about my trucks steering system.

Lube the steering stops, spindles, and/or control arms and it will go away

I just got back in from doing that. Noise is gone. Now, if only I could get a new steering rack that didn't rattle. But that's a whole different story.

Nervous about your steering system? I just came from a 4 door wrangler now that is something to be nervous about lol worst handling vehicle ever and that is with upgraded suspension

Yeah there's a thread about it somewhere. The linkages/EPAS will create some resonance that you can feel though the steering wheel. Just feels like something is rattling as you go over smoothe roads with small imperfections. It only does it when it's 75 degrees and higher out.

Bigger bumps in the road the truck handles and feels fine. But like I said at hot temperatures, and semi smoothe roads, the steering wheel pops and rattles. It upsets me....

Ford just keeps replacing EPAS's with the same EPAS's and they keep going "bad."

Default Most trucks make some ....

Most trucks tend to make popping and other funny noises at full crank of the wheel .... I've owned 7 trucks over my lifetime and every one of them made some kinda funny noise when turning hard at full crank ... It puts more stress on your front suspension when you crank the wheel .... Its most likely nothing .... you can't worry about every little noise you hear .. Its a truck drive it till it breaks .... then worry if it breaks .... Its not a Bow tie or a Ram so you need not worry much
