Default add a leaf.

I just finished test driving a f150 that had a add a leaf in the rear and the ride seemed a bit bouncy. Does the add a leaf make the ride bouncier? it wasnt as stiff as I expected but it was bouncy.

yup an AAL will be a little more bouncy. Mine is stiff b/c i went full retard and took apart my leaf pack to put it in...most people on here just put the aal between the pack and helper....if you do it like I did it will be stiff, if you do it the other way it will just be bouncy'r...

NP. If you tow or are putting stuff in your bed a lot the AAL is the way to go. Yeah it's a little more bouncy, but nothing can't live with. And it keeps your truck from sagging like a "gangsta" vehicle with loads in the back.

I have an add a leaf in my truck now, and I had one in my old truck as well. It made the trucks stiffer for sure but I don't know about bouncy. Mabey the shocks were wore out?

I put a AAL in my leaf pack and didn't notice a whole lot of ride change. I got mine through kcgeneralsprings.com. They were a great addition to my tow rig. I had to separate my leaf pack to install this one but it rides better than the one I installed before that just went under the original lead pack.

I added an add a leaf to both of the diesels I previously owned. I noticed a little stiffer ride, but nothing I couldn't deal with knowing I was driving a truck. I plan on doing an add a leaf in the rear (adding about an inch or less of lift) and a 2.5 in leveling kit in the front that should make it sit level and be able to handle a little more in the bed before looking like a spaceship.

Quick Reply: add a leaf.
