Front center console
its about a 5 out of 10. I first replaced the silver side pieces beside the radio so when I put in the console I could see how far foward to put the console. once I did that the holes at the back of the console were very close to lining up with the ones from the seat/console. I made the holes a bit bigger on the console and was able to reuse the bolts from my seat that was there without having to drill new holes. Once that was done a pit all the plastic on and in place. I did have to take my seats out and the bolts were a pita to get out. I have tried to move the consle aswell and its in there solid. I figured I may have some movement without the front bracket but there is no movement at all. im happy with it. I was able to go to a upick wrecker near me and get all the pieces for the whole thing for under $100. It worth the hour drive to thus place for the simple reason they are dirt cheap
They're different, but it's doable.
I just installed an 04-08 console in my 2013. You have to remove the aluminum bracket that the jump seat sat/mounted on. That requires removing the 2 inside anchoring bolts on both front seats; you also have to remove the 4 bolts that are visible once you remove the jump seat. Then you have to twist and rotate the heck out of that bracket to get it out. Once you do that, you'll need to drill new holes in the bottom of the console and align them with the holes that the 4 original bolts go into. The front bolts work perfectly inside the console. The back 2 are a little long and I'm going to the store today to find shorter ones.
Like I said, it's a lot more work, but as of when I bought the console, I saved myself AT LEAST $150(most likely $200+). Worth it for me. I can take pictures for anyone that wants them. Overall, I'm very happy with it. I was worried at first thinking the console wouldn't sit flat against the floor, but it does.

Sadly no. I read on here that there was, so I had made a trip to my local wrecker and found the piece that goes from the dash to the vents on the console. I took everything apart and when I got enough to put in the piece I discovered that the evap box behind the dash in the xlt's is different then the fx4 ones. I did not have the vent come down the way I thought. Maybe other trucks are different, but in my case I couldn't do it.
