Front Bull Rings don't line up? (6.5 ft box)
The rear two Bull Rings went in without a problem, it took about two minutes each. The front two, at the back of the cab, won't go in like they should. The access hole in the OEM plastic bedrail cap does not center over the stake pocket in the bed (front to back), so the Bull Ring won't sit flush in the hole of the bedrail cover. Without cutting or bending the metal at the back of the stake pocket, I'm not sure how to get these to fit properly.
Have any of you had success installing these on a 6.5 ft box?
Thanks

I had this same problem, I fixed it by trimming the plastic on the underside of the cap that the bull ring slides in.
I didn't cut on the truck, and I didn't trim any metal pieces. The plastic is elliptical and I just squared off the side further away from the cab.
I'd post a picture, but it is cold out and I am lazy.

... yeah? The front pocket cut outs don't match, just as he explained. I fixed it by trimming the plastic under the ring.... you can't tell anything was trimmed, and since no metal bits were cut they retain their strength.

I took a bunch of pictures and they all suck because it is dark out and my flash on my cell is stupid bright.. but basically, here is one where you can compare both sides, look at the black plastic piece that is oval shapped that the ring goes through. The top part is oval, the bottom is flattened where I took my dremel and ground off the edge... I just wore it down maybe 1/4 inch or less.
Here is it sitting in the slot... it looks like there is a gap in this picture, but you can't tell in daylight.. it looks flush just like the others.
Here is a close up of the spot I ground off... it is a little over-exposed... but you can see where I ground it down. I used a cutting wheel and just slowly trimmed it back until there was enough room.
Hope this helps... the pictures kind of suck, but you get the basic idea, do this:
