if you had the key (must have if you were able to lock it) how could it have been stolen even if he got inside? don't you need a chipped key for the engine to start on the new trucks? if it was an older truck how could he have hot wired it before you got their?

just curious.
He was probably just going to grab whatever is in my console or in sight. It was unlocked while we were moving the boxes and stuff.

My laptop was in there since I had come straight from work. It was a shock for sure, I am used to staying around the north side of SA and Boerne. Don't have to worry about that stuff.

I think I'm bringing this up at our next club meeting. Its so awesome he got it back because of social media. I live I'm San Antonio as well and yeah if you have a nice truck then allot of people are looking at it for the wrong reasons.

Glad he got it back! Definitely a rarity in this city. Like most say, it's typically already in Mexico by the time you realize it was stolen. Kudos to the good Samaritans, too. Hope if that ever happens to me, I have the same luck!

I went to monster jam this weekend and didn't want to take my truck because I was down town and not parked at the Alamo.

Glad you recovered it. Would love to get a hold of those thieves and give them some old fashioned Texas justice!!

Think I might have called all my buds and waited for someone to try and get in it to leave and then beat the ever living **** out of them for stealing my truck?

I'm assuming he left the key in it and possibly left it unlocked? Just wondering.

awsome that the truck was recovered an undamaged. I had a friend that his f250 was stolen last summer at stone oak and hubner. Police found it at military/marbach area. One of the lucky ones too. The older model super duties are stolen often around here.

you know why the tailgates get stolen right? they pack the tailgate with drugs and gps tracker, then they swap them with tourists vehicles without the owners knowing, when the family returns home the are unknowingly crossing with a tailgate full of drugs, they cross the border easily. Gps the location and swap or steal the tailgate again.
