Yeah, haven't listened to it in quite a while, I was surprised when I got the new truck how tinny it is now. They must have upped the compression recently. Wouldn't pay for it, but if it's free I might try it out at work.

Different channels are encoded at different qualities. All of the channels I listen to sound great (Faction, Octane, O&A). Although I have it in my work truck (09 Silverado) and not my F150.

didn't know that but it makes sense. i guess i never came across one of the higher quality channels

I would think that all of the music channels are at the highest level. Anything that replays on Starz is encoded lower. And maybe the talk channels.

Not sure I will ever know. Mine is expired and the only music I am paying for is downloads.
