I finally found a 5.5mm socket to add to my collection for $2.50. That was what I was waiting on, instead of getting a whole new 1/4 drive metric set for $25. Anyway, I approached it a little different. I fooled around with the connetor and was able to pull the pin out of the connector insteat of snipping it. It took a couple of extra minuits, but I would rather do that than cut it off.
Love this Mod, and the chime still works if the headlights are left on.

I like this mod. It just didn't kill enough chimes. If you want to play the radio with the door open (key in acc position), the chime still chimes after the mod.
Another chime killing mod is needed.
Be careful NOT to cut the blue wire in front coming from the key switch. Your truck won't start. Don't ask me how I know this.
