Freakin' door chime!

I tried to use nav via voice commands the other day and nearly put it in the ditch out of frustration. WAY too many various prompts and steps. I should be able to say a full address and location and the darn thing should be able to pull it up.
As far as I know, the only work around to the nav while driving is to use a lockpick device which plugs in to the rear of the unit. It requires a pretty extensive tear down of the dash/console to install, but allows access to rearview camera, addition of front camera, DVD playback while driving, etc.

Did a second wire snip mod today on a friends new EcoBoost. Five minutes, tops.
The only snag might be if you don't have a 5.5mm nut driver or socket. Not a super common size.

In my 94 ranger the door chime would not stop "singing". I was bad that when we would drive from MD to NYC we kept all the windows open and turn the radio all the way up. My father found the fuse that controlled it BUT it also controlled the speedo so that wasn't safe at all.

I actually don't mind that chime. It serves a purpose and is much better than a darn buzz. I wish they could have made it where you could just turn off the chime on the control panel. But other than that, it's a good thing to have. lol
