Painted My Plastics on My 2010 SCrew
To set the tone for everything to follow, I'm 19, work minimum wage, and live in Central Cali.. That being said, I want to show some pictures of my little weekend project. My friend has been nagging me to paint my plastics but I don't have the cash to get it done professionally. My bright idea was to buy $60 worth of rattle can paint and clear coat and have a field day. Here is what followed:
I started with the tailgate latch and mirrors and that's all I have for "before and after" shots:
I had chrome plastics on the tailgate and door handles before painting and put them on after everthing had dried:
Next up were bumper pads, lower valence and even the fog light housing:
Had some extra paint so I hit the cowel vent, bedside rails, and even the antenna trim piece:
It was my first time doing any kind of paint work myself, and I DID use Dupli-color Perfect Match that you get at auto stores. Overall, I'm happy with the turnout and can't really complain for a 2day DIY for under $75!
