ya but your pushing it....u need to be careful on backspacing and wheel width. if your going with 35's i would go with wheels that are close to the raptor wheels specs....

So what if you wanted a similar setup but wanted to retain the factory 20 inch wheels what then? I was just thinking about adding the Bilstein 5100 shock kit and done but this has me captivated. What about these coilovers for the level and not doing the A arm? What would your suggestions be for building a setup for keeping the stock wheels? Can F O A build something like that? Add the Deavers, coilovers without the piggy back, stiffer eibach springs in the rear to avoid the airlift bags for towing, (I only tow a bass boat anyways) What would I have them build? What would the spring rates and shock levels/psi, and travel, and rebound levels need to be set at to keep kind of a factory feel? How hard would it be to get put together and installed? Do I need the piggyback reservoirs? Thanks.

You have to pick and choose your battles on this one. Take all this with a grain of salt of course...You can totally keep the stock wheels and do the Bilstein 5100's, but you probably won't be able to do the A-arms. For the Camburg Upper A's you need no more than 4.75" backspace, that pretty much will limit your choices on wheels in order to clear the A-arms. The A-arms will help you get longer travel that you won't get with the factory setup though. With the Camburgs you are looking at about 10" of travel, which is like an inch shy of the Raptor.

Piggy-back's will just help keep the shox from fading due to heat if you are really hammering them. If all you are doing is towing, you probably won't notice much difference. Same with airbags and the leafs, unless you are hauling a lot of weight in the back, you probably don't need them unless you want to raise the back to put the rake back in after doing the leveling coilovers. I don't think towing a bass boat will make the rear squat that bad.

Just to at catch up a lil... I am running 35s with the fox coilovers, it does require trimming the inner fender well to clear however. As far as backspacing with the Camburg arms- I have 18x9s w/ 5.7" of backspace and the clear just fine. I know that Bigbyrd is running raptor wheels with 6.1" of backspace and he has not complained. I think the 4.75" requirement on camburgs website is for pre- 09 f150s

I dunno man...it doesn't make a distinction between model years in their description...

2004-2011 Part# CAM-110078

$699.00 Parts
$200.00 Installation Labor

*** Must use wheels with maximum backspacing of 4.75″ of back-spacking or tire will rub upper arm. ***
Considering I spent almost $3k for this kit, I wasn't taking any chances and ordered my Fuel Octane's with 4.5" backspace to ensure everything will fit properly. I am definitely not cool with trimming on an almost $50k dollar truck. **** should fit properly without resorting to cutting IMHO. Still waiting for the shox to arrive before I get everything mounted up...

That is the reason Camburg only recommends 33s with the kit.

What I want to do is roll the fenders and put a set of 37s on there with raptor half shafts.

If you don't know what rolling fenders is here is an example. This guy has 40" tires on his Super Duty with 4" lift.

A SuperDuty rock crawler? Now I've seen it all! I did call Camburg and spoke with an engineer directly to confirm my setup, so I should be ok. We will find out soon enough. Technically the tire is only .5" taller than the 33.6" version of the Toyo, so I'm feeling pretty good about it...

I guess I'm just going to go with the Bilsteins and a set of Deavers in the back. I'm not planning to jump this truck I just want to have a good smooth ride on the road and be able to get through the woods when its wet and muddy at deer camp. Also I'm stuck on getting the BFG 285/65/r20 's for my ride as they will set it off looks wise and be perfect diameter (34.7 in.) for the 4.10 gears I'm ordering to bring me to an actual 3.76 final drive ratio which keeps me near a stock 3.73 and should be just enough lower to make up for the 17 pound weight difference between them and the stock pirelli's. I was just looking to see if there was a bigger better way to accomplish my goals.

Size: 15.6 KB BTW here's a picture of my last superduty I just sold to fund my ecoboost build. Superduty rock crawlers do exist. I cut out the fenders and added flares to run 40's with a 4inch lift.

You can order these with 4.10s? I don't recall that being an option on Fords site when you build a truck.
