Ya, especially when subzero F are common.

It's a small cord, it's in the lower opening. Next to the driver side grey bumper piece.

It's been nice using this for the mornings. It was 54 this morning when I woke up but I had the truck plugged in. Thought it was going to get in the 30's last night but I guess not.

Truck was nice and warm pretty much right away. A fun little surprise

At that temperature it would be warmed up right away with out being plugged in.. no need to have it plugged in, even in the 30's. All you're doing is raising your electric bill

I've got an '09 King Ranch up here in northern MN with a heated garage at home. Only plug mine in when I park at work where we have company provided outlets. I do that when temps are -20 or below or wind is coming out of west into the grill with a wind chill around -35 or below. Works great! Have only put one new battery in after buying the truck new.

I don't have a block heater, but it did get so cold in Detroit last winter that I did leave a quartz halogen light plugged in and under my truck for a couple of nights.

I saw this thread a while back and didn't think too much about it. Just read it for information. This weekend I took my FX4 to the car wash and noticed something bouncing around in the front bumper, and sure enough a plug end was in there!! Too bad it's going to be 70 today, I'm itching to try it!!!!!

Nice find! Today was sure nice in KC as well. Starting to get cold tonight again like in the 20's or so then back up in the 70's friday. Truck is plugged in tonight. I'm sure you northern guys get a kick out of me plugging in my truck in the 20's...

Oh well helps warm up the truck quite a bit quicker when I take my 3 kids into the sitter tomorrow morin
