factory HIDs are still very yellow, close to halogen color temp almost.

swap your bulbs out for some Osram CBIs and it will be a lot closer and perform better in general.

Absolutely do it again. Not only do they look great with the OEM HID's, they match when off since they're both black, and the light output is fantastic.

They are extremely wide and bright, and provide a great cutoff.

Finally, they don't have glare like LED bulbs in the stock fogs do.

Copy.

I have stock halogen bulbs for headlights as well. I'd like to upgrade them but its not in the cards right now.

They won't fit loose in the bucket if you take a torch or a heat gun and heat up the tabs and bend them inward. You can use a screw driver to hold the tab in place while it cools. I also used water. The light will not rattle after that.

Just ordered a set. Should match my aftermarket headlights really well. I'll try to post a picture once they are installed as I haven't seen anyone on this thread with my headlights yet.

Please elaborate. Have you had LED bulbs in your factory housings? I have had these and led's in factory housings and the led in my factory housing wins hands down.

I'd say in terms of styling these win though.

Yes I had putco LED bulbs and then F150LED's when one of the putcos died. Both of them had massive amounts of glare that no amount of aiming could get rid of. They would light up overhead highway signs, and I could turn the fogs on and off and see the reflection on the sign come and go.

What are you metrics for determining who wins? foreground brightness, the LED bulbs probably win. But these project much further and wider than the factory housing allows, and compliment the cutoff of the factory HIDs.

IMO, LED bulbs in halogen housings are (just like HID's in halogen housings), unsafe, produce less usable light, full of glare, and just plain unsafe and inconsiderate to other drivers on the road.

I look at my factory Hid's and I've thought of them as yellow-ish.
Do you think compared to these new fogs or Morimoto fogs they look yellow?

A pic of my factory Hid's and these new fogs.

Regular or typical LED fog light bulbs beam pattern, no matter how many chips or their placement remind me of a megaphone. Just a wide circle of light.
There's barely any straight ahead beam. They just shine this broad light that gets wider & wider in a huge perfect circle the 15 ft that they do reach.
Like you said; illuminating over head signs, which shouldn't be, with fog light's.
