I wish I could do these mods to my 2010 Lariat... :/ Sucks that 2011+ gets the jelly.

I don't want to make this thread any longer without contributing information but I don't know where else to turn.

After reading this thread for weeks, I finally made the decision to do the foglight drl mod. I used the settings in the very first post and it doesn't take. Instead I get steady interior light flashing until I revert the settings. Any help would be appreciated.

Daytime Running Lamp - Enabled
Daytime Running Lamp Type - Fog lights (also tried corner lamps with same result)

2014 Screw FX4

8/24/17 UPDATE: I followed jdunk54nl's suggestions in post #2825 and edited the values using the Advanced Method from the original tutorial and it worked flawlessly. Thanks a million jdunk54nl!

So using the Forscan Tutorial google doc sheet found in this thread, I followed the instructions on the "Programming - Easy method"

As mentioned above I changed the DRL Mode to ENABLE and the Type to FOG LIGHTS.

There have been a lot of known issues with the easy method, use the "harder" method. If that doesn't work come back.

726-11-01 0001 0000 40 DRL disabled no fog with high beams
xxx2 xxxx xx Enables fogs and Highbeams
xxx0 xxxx xx fog lamps disabled
x1xx xxxx xx DRL enabled low beam
x2xx xxxx xx DRL enabled fog lights
x3xx xxxx xx DRL enabled turn signals

Thanks jdunk54nl. I'll research the Advanced method some more and give it a whirl. I will update my original OP with my findings in case anyone else can learn from my situation.

On a side note: I have replaced the factory fog lamps with the morimoto LED fog light assembly. Does anyone see a problem with the LED fogs going on and off as I use high beams? I'd rather not do the bambi fog mod to keep it legal for inspection.

That's the beauty, you can change it whenever. Change for inspection, pass change it back.

Hey All,
I was going back through the thread for PATS programming stuff and I couldn't' find confirmation of what i was looking for. All I found was people adding a 3rd or more keys to their collection.

I only have 1 key right now for my truck. I was going to add another OEM purchased key. Can anyone confirm that forscan can program both keys with only having one original?

The only reason I ask is that it was brought up in the 2015+ section by someone asking the same question and livinitup said it was not possible for forscan to program the keys for this situation. Is that just a 2015+ issue?

After reading every single post in this tread from what I can remember it's the same thing here also ( Two keys)

Ya, that is what I was finding again too. I know the insert key into ignition process requires two admin keys.

But I thought forscan could program them similarly as IDS does (or whatever program the dealership uses), which can program an additional key without needing 2 admin to begin with.

All I found in the thread though was people using it to program remote start keys on top of their two original.
