Sound like a useful feature for me! Living on a ranch 15 miles north of the the Mexican border in one of the more heavily trafficked areas makes for some interesting night. I'm gonna be that guy and say I NEED this. Thanks for the info!

It works along side any tune, my truck is tuned as well. Matter of fact you will be able to restore your truck to as-built with this program to clean any and all traces of ever being tuned. Just as if you went to the dealer and they replace a pcm or any module for that matter. The as-built data is a free download from www.motorcraftservice.com/asbuilt.

I encourage everyone to d/l their asbuilt data asap just in case.

As I understand it, the cheaper ones will work but only give you access to basic stuff. A better option is the scantool 426101. This gives you access to more thing.

Correct the MX vs the SX does more, I was wondering though if he had found another model.

Thanks

I'm using a cheap elm327 I got from amazon 3+ years ago, all it is, is a Bluetooth link between laptop and the vehicle, it has no way to limit anything, it does the same thing the vcmii does for IDS.

Good possibility, give it a shot and report back your results, also don't forget to download your asbuilt data just incase.

Auto Headlamp is hardware, unless you have the sensor and switch, it will not work.

Right, but from my research the lights come on all the time when the truck is on unless auto headlamps is enabled.
