Default Remote Start cluster enable problems.

I have a 2014 F-150 XLT. I was able to get remote start enabled okay but can't seam to get the IPC numbers right. Mine are 720-01-02 5521 6C0A 263C.
I tried the numbers provided in this forum with XXXX's and $$$$'s. FORScan said that was wrong so I didn't write it. didn't know what the $$$$ meant. When I changed the values in the middle box the next box turned blue. When I hit write it said wrong value do you want to write anyway. I cancelled.

You don't use "X"'s...Whatever is listed on as an "X" on the spreadsheet, you leave alone. change only the digits listed.

But also, when you DO enter correct values, it will likely tell you the checksum is wrong. And you do say yes to overwriting the checksum to continue.

What about the dollar signs? I figured the X’s should be left alone but the $ signs threw me. Plus the numbers is the next box were different than mine. Confusing. You are correct. It told me the checksum was wrong. Freaked me out so I cancelled.

The only values that get changed are alphanumeric, any other symbol used denotes a value that is NOT changed. so if you see xxxA xxxx xxxx3 you would ignore any value you see where the x is located and change the letter/number only to get the desired result, same thing for the $ sign, it was someones preference to use instead of an x.

In the above example your changes would be the A and the 3.

I went to CarMax and got the as built numbers for a 2014 Platinum. The first box has the same numbers as mine. The second and third boxes the numbers are different. should I copy the Platinum numbers into the middle and third box or just the middle box and leave my third box the way it is?

Have you ever looked at the spreadsheet linked in most of my posts (doesn't do it when I post via mobile)?

It has all the options for IPC programming remote start.....

What you should do is go study that spreadsheet in the link I sent you via PM. It has everything you need.
