Hit or miss depending on year model. I tried it several different ways using Forscan on my 13 with no success so I added resistors for the front switch back led turn lamps.

Anyway, Ive been scanning through this thread and cant seem to find if FORScan will solve my hyperflashing indicators on my 2010 F150 XLT.

Ive looked at the modules and I believe if it is possible, the GEM module is the one I need to be focusing on. But when I delve deeper I cant seem to find anything related to the bulb out notification or whatever you want to call it.

Can someone please tell me if it is actually possible to use FORScan to turn this thing off or do I need to add resistors instead.
I don't think it's possible on 09-10 as it has the GEM. Even on my 13 with a BCM I was unsuccessful in doing so, so I used resistors for the two front leds. My led tails came with them built into the circuitry.

No harm in trying but no one has done much of any trials that I'm aware of as far as programming changes go with those 2 year models, best part about Forscan is if what you do don't work or works with unintended results you can always change it back, just be sure to back up your original settings or write them down at the very least.

By all means go for it Once you have it done we can start using the new thread.

Or one can realize that a lot of the beginning stuff doesn't really matter and if you just look at the forscan tutorial that is linked by livinitup, in my spreadsheet in GIANT BOLD LETTERS WITH MUST READ FIRST that you could get away with reading that, looking at the spreadsheet of all of the known values/changes, and could accomplish nearly everything you need to.

If people would at least do that, then we would get more pointed questions out of people on how to do something, instead of the common "I'm too lazy to read this entire thing so is this possible"

I haven't tried it yet, I need to pull the door apart and plug in a keypad and try and figure out what my factory code could be, from what I read it should be on the GEM. not sure if I can read it after I have changed the as-built lines but I'm going to try, worst case It doesn't work

the tire size I'm not overly concerned about just thought I would do it if I could

Reference your OEM Door Lock Code, if u have 2 or more Keys, there's an easy way to do it.... Essentially when u program a new key fob, the Truck will display the OE Lock Code on the instrument cluster. Trust me it took me a few attempts to program my new Fob & the lock code popped up every time,,,,

In short, Place key 1 into the ignition & turn ON but do not start, wait 5-6 seconds & remove key, wait 4-5 seconds & insert key 2 & again switch ON but do not start (at this point it "may" display code) if it doesn't, do the process 1 more time w/a 3rd key or your 1st key again if u only have 2 (it will display a large yellow box containing lock code).

I've tried this on my 2012 and it doesn't show the door lock code. From what I remember, it seems to only work on the '13+.

13> only, doesn't work on older models. I made a video how to do this for youtube several years ago.

Im not speaking of starting a new thread, I mean an entire section dedicated to ForScan where we can have multiple threads about ForScan specific questions pertaining to the F150.
Its not something I can do the forum administrators would have to create a new section for it

So I used forscan on my truck for the first time ever. My low tire pressure warning has been on for ages and I could never fix it. Low and behold, someone set the front and rear tire pressure values at 110psi. Why would someone do this? I reset it down to 35psi and the light went away! So happy.
