Forscan applications

It should read all the modules in under 60 seconds. 17ms is pretty slow, but it still shouldn't take that long. You may have a bad ELM. I had a WiFi adapter that worked fine but I prefer USB personally. I think wired connections are faster and more stable.

Totally agree. A wired connection is much better. I had trouble writing to the IC with my wireless so I used the one that came with my boot leg IDS. It was much faster.

The main reason for the speed limiter on most cars is engineering limitations not safety.
Here is a good example of a 2011 Mustang V6, catastrophic failure after the owner removed the speed limiter with no modifications.
2011 Ford Mustang V6 Driveshaft Fails At 135mph - YouTube
Note that, had he upgraded his driveshaft, tires, wheels and rear diff, his V6 Mustang would have happily reached 150mph and above.

That is interesting...Other people have confirmed this worked. I was going to try this today and a couple others depending on time. I've been getting all of the maintenance stuff done on the truck so haven't had time to mess with forscan. I need to install my hill descent switch today so will have forscan hooked up and will try what I have time for.
My questions is, is there a write up on swapping out the BCM hardware?
Thanks!
