Not according to the Ford shop manual, or should I state it's not mentioned as a prerequisite. Normally any steps to perform an operation are completely laid out so that no mistakes are made.

With that said, I have found misprints in Ford manuals over the years. Locking the doors on my truck when ever I exit is more of an involuntary action, kind of like breathing.

So I was hoping I could get a definitive answer to two questions that have been asked here but keep getting pushed aside/overtaken by other questions or just not known.

I have a 2012 FX4, 804A , All bells & whistles
1. Can I program in Forscan to roll down all windows with remote fob?
2. can I program in Forscan to auto fold the mirrors when placed in park/unfold when placed in reverse/drive?

I have searched the two associated forums and cannot find a definitive answer.

Thanks all.

1. No.

2. I dunno. This is the first I've heard someone wanting to do that.

Changing to EF0A gave me the RS menu minus the rear defrost and seat menu, without breaking the camera menu.

If we tinker a bit more, we might be able to find the rear defrost menu, but I didn't have any more time to play today.
I just found this. I enabled R/S with Forscan the other day using one of the spread sheets on here. I changed my setting to xxxx 6FEA xxxx and got the all the menu features to work and when I looked through all of my other menus it appeared everything was there. But yesterday when I was backing out of my driveway I noticed that although the back up lines and proximity beeper was still working, the visual display of how close you are wasn't there.(the green, yellow, red shading warning you of how close you are) I'll have to go back in and try this and see if the camera is back to normal. I'll post my results as soon as I get a chance to do it.

Any time you do any programming, the settings return to a default (off) setting, just reset them in the cluster menu.

I thought that I had read that in the thread somewhere so I did go back in and check the settings. The parking aid was off, so I turned it back on. But that part of the park aid didn't come back on. And there doesn't seem to be a setting for turning it back on. Once I get a chance I'll restore my as built and see if it comes back. If it does I'll try the other settings and see if they work. I too, like N3UP picked up the remote start settings for heated/cooled seats which I don't have. Looks like I should have used the other settings any way.

If anyone has an XLT with heated seats only (not heated/cooled), could you post your EATC values, or PM me your VIN if you are willing? Thanks!

Yeah, there was nothing in my owner's manual about locking the doors either, figured I would ask just to make sure. I'll lock them tonight and see if that makes a difference.

O.K. so I went back in and changed my ICM line 720-01-02 back to my original as built(5521 EC0A 26BC) and got all of my camera and parking aid features back. I found another post by N3UP where he listed the values for adding remote start to his XLT. So since mine is also an XLT I tried editing only the 2 characters(xxxx xF2x xxxx) that he identified as controlling the RS menu features for our XLT's and I am happy to report that all is well. I have the full RS menu, and all of my other menu features are still there and functioning normal. I wish there was a way to consolidate this thread, I must have read it at least 3 times now, that's a lot of reading! lol! Thanks to N3UP and everyone else who pioneered all of this research.

I agree, a Coles notes version or at least some type of reference for pages. I've read it twice and the second time I skipped when everyone was asking about RS or programming keys. They were huge sections and I just kinda skimmed to make sure I wasn't missing anything for DRL's. I still wanna do the navi override. I just haven't gotten around to it.

You tell a newbie in other threads or even this one about something but can't give a page or post number. It's tedious for sure.

This is one of the few threads I actually open and read when I get an email. I don't wanna miss anything.
