I'll read back through and check out some of the other posted links for others that have confirmed theirs to work and pick one up.
Seems like these Amazon ones are hit or miss. What is everyone using to connect?

The ELM 327 Chip Wholesales for $2,100 per 100 units. so that's $21 each, that's without any other electronics.
Add $40 or so for the other components, including the RS232 to USB chip and you get a total manufacturing cost of $61 per ELM327 USB interface. Bluetooth is another $30 or so on top of that.
I can pretty much guarantee that any EML327 online that sells for less than $100 for USB and $150 for Bluetooth, is a fake, running a pirated copy of outdated ELM 327 1.0 code.
It is becoming harder and harder to find a non clone version to buy online, and pretty much impossible to find a original on e-Bay and Amazon as all of them on there are fakes.

Key on engine off,(KOEO) Forscan will NEVER require engine running unless doing a key on engine running (KOER) self test.

I paid $20ish for mine. USB, ELM327 with a switch installed. A lot of people posted in this thread which one to buy for $15-20. I had someone ask me in PM if a certain one was good. It's similar to what I have but didn't have a switch.
