My fog lights don't come on when I open my doors and my light switch is always on auto. Interior and parking lights come on when I open the doors. 2011 FX2 SCREW

Mine did today in the daylight IIRC, with switch in auto and pulled out, truck in park, key on engine off, opened the door they were on. I haven't played around any more than that...

My headlight switch is in auto BUT NOT pulled out. Maybe that's why.

FYI, I've always used Auto with fogs on and my fogs have always come on when I open my door.

I tested it today, that sensor is not accurate. I covered it and it took a few moments to realize it was "dark".

I haven't changed my DRL's again but I plan to

My lights come on about 15 seconds after I throw my hat over the sensor... I believe that is by design to keep them from cycling on and off if the sensor is momentarily blocked by trees or bridges etc. as you drive...

Type Xxx2 in line 726-11-01 when you get in there. X is just check digits, you will have numbers there not x's. The last number in the first group of four is the one you're concerned with.
