From the looks of it you'd have to add the MS-CAN switch to that Amazon deal. I did it with one that I had spare, it works well and wasn't too hard.

Thanks for clueing me in on adding MS-CAN compatibility to non-MS-CAN dongles.

Though it seems this may be a better solution for me, albeit USB (meaning no iOS support): OHP Ford ELMconfig USB device

Only $30 and per a reviewer, works with at least the 2017 F-150's out-of-the-box.

Yep that looks about right. I've only used the Bluetooth adapters but I can imagine the USB ones are more reliable and probably quicker. As you now know you'll have to use something with Windows to do anything really beneficial with Forscan, so that USB should work just fine.

After testing WIFI and Bluetooth I decided to get the full USB

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'd rather NOT have some sort of interference when I'm writing data to my truck... Wifi was too finicky, as was the BT with IOS and a Dell XPS13.

Is anyone planning on getting Sync 3 into their 09-14? Think it would be difficult?

thank you. I have sync 1 in my 2011 without touchscreen/nav. I need to add OEM nav and then upgrade to sync 3, correct?

Has anyone figured out how to enable Video In Motion for the '13-'14 trucks with MyTouch? Was thinking FORScan maybe capable of this.

I think it's called "lock pick". Not a FORScan modification but another application altogether.
