For compare, nothing beats Beyond Compare, great comparison program, has plug ins to compare pretty much any type of file.
Basically it's math based on the number 16 as opposed to decimal that based on the number 10. It's hard to get used to 16 base numbers instead of 10:
Decimal 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9
Hex 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D,E,F
To learn it, you have to challenge everything you have ever been taught. It was mainly invented to fit more data into a computer, but makes for some interesting math.
For learning about Hexadecimal, iTunes U and YouTube are your friends.

Before I ask. I searched and didn't find an answer..
With that being said, has anyone that changed parameters with the Forscan had a problem with ford denying a warrant item? For instance. I'm going to install the remote start setup. Lets say that later on I have a problem with the BCM and take it in for warranty. They notice that remote start is enabled, that my truck didn't initially come with it, and they don't have a record of me having a dealer initialize it. Would they then say that I messed with it and deny the warranty claim?

That wouldnt be a concern of mine. I had my DRLs turned on by Ford via IDS "under the table" so it's not on Fords records. Remote start wouldn't be anything they look for to void warranties.

Had anyone noticed there ABD from MotorcraftService.com is different than the actual truck?
Also if you scroll on the cluster to see the tranny temp if you scroll over once more it goes to a black/blank screen. Has anyone found a way to add something to that? I know 4X4s have something else and the black/blank screen is two scrolls over but us 2WD have a only tranny temp and then the black/blank screen!

I fully anticipate this and believe Ford will try it. Don't think for one minute the Ford Reps here have not notified higher ups, what is going on with Forscan.
