Google hexadecimal calculators, they will do the addition for you.

Sorry was offline all weekend. Glad you found the past number. That one is for the 2 button, no airbag override.

Before I ask. I searched and didn't find an answer..

With that being said, has anyone that changed parameters with the Forscan had a problem with ford denying a warrant item? For instance. I'm going to install the remote start setup. Lets say that later on I have a problem with the BCM and take it in for warranty. They notice that remote start is enabled, that my truck didn't initially come with it, and they don't have a record of me having a dealer initialize it. Would they then say that I messed with it and deny the warranty claim?

That wouldnt be a concern of mine. I had my DRLs turned on by Ford via IDS "under the table" so it's not on Fords records. Remote start wouldn't be anything they look for to void warranties.

Had anyone noticed there ABD from MotorcraftService.com is different than the actual truck?

Also if you scroll on the cluster to see the tranny temp if you scroll over once more it goes to a black/blank screen. Has anyone found a way to add something to that? I know 4X4s have something else and the black/blank screen is two scrolls over but us 2WD have a only tranny temp and then the black/blank screen!

Did the enabling of remote start cause the failure? Can they prove that? Those are the conditions they would go have to meet to decline a warranty claim, and Ford, not the dealer, has to do that.

My 4x4 only has trans temp and a blank screen.

Tasca had to order it from Ford but they said Ford had it in stock and will ship in 2-3 days when they receive it. I'll let you know if it's the right one. Thanks.

I fully anticipate this and believe Ford will try it. Don't think for one minute the Ford Reps here have not notified higher ups, what is going on with Forscan.

What does it mean to run the DTCs on the unprogrammed key, and are you reprogramming the key, or does the PATS read the key serial number and just store it in the car computer?
