Is it Friday Yet?
iTrader: (1)
Example: Truck shipped with the camera guidelines turned off, you went into the on screen menu and turned them on, now the Camera setting in the AsBuilt is different than what the system reads. If you change the value back to the AsBuilt value using Forscan, then the guideline will now be turned off.

I have Forscan 2.3.1 and the ScanTool 426101 OBDLink MX Bluetooth, which I use with my Dell notebook running Windows 10 Pro. It seems to work quite well.
My truck is a 14 screw boost XLT with the OEM HIDs. I used Forscan to set my DRLs to the "Fog Lamp" setting. They come on the moment the shifter leaves park, which is exactly what I want them to do.
The only thing better IMO would be if I could configure the parking lights as DRLs, but all I seem to be able to do is set the turn signals as DRLs. This is not optimal for me because I've installed switchback LEDs and 1> I don't want to burn out a resistor from constant draw, 2> I don't want amber DRLs. But for now I'm darn happy with the fogs as DRLs.
Now, then --- a couple of questions brought on by perusing this thread.
First, it's been said that you can flash as-builts and the dealer will never know you've been mucking about. Does this include engine tunes as well as the more typical Forscan mods? I'm running 5*s 93 PT tune with tire size, TPMS and speed limiter modifications.
Second, it's been said that you can use Forscan to activate the remote start feature after installing the OEM module. I've installed the module and paid for the dealer to program the truck with IDS, and it works great. However I don't see the remote start option in my version of Forscan. Is it there in 2.3.2?
These two questions come to a juncture because I greatly desire to return my vehicle to as close to stock as possible when it goes in for dealer service.
Is it going to be possible for me to put my truck in stock or near-stock condition, and be able to re-activate remote start after I pick it up from the dealer?

BoostKing Tuning
I custom coded my BMW to have all sorts of extra features. One of them was just holding lock or unlock on the remote to put all the windows up or down. I love that feature and would really appreciate it in my truck.

Timtrace: I think you should have saved the original data that way you could just flash back to it before going to the dealer. You can still do it by changing whatever you've already changed back to the way it was. This should allow you to keep remote start without having to disable when you go in for service. However, I don't think this feature will be affected since all you've said you changed were the DRL settings. Just set them back to whatever they were and carry on.
As for the MX adapter, what should be picked when forscan asks if your device has a CAN switch? How will it know the device can support all kinds if you select "no"? (Unless it has a switch I don't know about. Mine comes in today)

I'm using a cheap elm327 I got from amazon 3+ years ago, all it is, is a Bluetooth link between laptop and the vehicle, it has no way to limit anything, it does the same thing the vcmii does for IDS.

To be clear, I'm interested in learning how to use Forscan to make things look au natural, enough so that the dealer might loose interest in looking for evidence of flashed tunes, or tweaked modules.
I just use "AUTO" and it works fine. Be sure you've got the Forscan extended license or you'll find the whole experience quite boring

Can somebody check and see if there is an option to change to run fogs and highs at hte same time? I doubt it,
Yes, I know the legalities, of doing such a thing, just curious if this is a door to our years bambi mod.
Waiting on my ELM 327 adapter, right now.
