The mclaren 650s has a 3.8L that puts out 641hp. not impressed by any american performance car.

^ agree. My daily VW Golf R (2.0L) came from factory with 270hp

reminds me of the guys going on about their K20A2s about 100 hp/liter. all fine and dandy if you have a 7 liter motor...
