The 2011-2012 FX grille looks so much better. If I were getting a 2013 FX, I'd get the old grille thrown in.

I have been looking for a leftover 2012 but might just order a 2013 now. Very excited.

Yes, new model year time can be very exciting, especially for those of us who are going to be buying one!!

BTW, I like the new FX grill and thinks it goes well with those new HID's!! The new FX's will be quite distinctive on the road and will stand out from the old models.

Change is good!!

Addition: Galpin Ford in Van Nuys area of L.A. already has 42 new (2013) F-150 window stickers on their webpage, as of this a.m. if anybody want to browse to see the pkg. discounts; they always have the largest inventory in the nation, at any given time.

Newbie here. I was very disappointed the new HID's are not a part of my Lariat. I ordered the 501 package. Talked to the dealer today and he said if I wanted to go with the 502 package it would be another 2K. That would include moon roof and Nav which I don't want. I can't seem to pay 2K for some headlights.

Fully loaded 2013 Raptor, $58k. Yeah buddy!!

Looks like Ford is doing packages now like all the imports do. So much for truly customizing your factory order truck....

Three things I noticed right off the bat that surprised me:
1.) HID's are only standard from King Ranch + Up with no option to be selected on lower models...
2.) No 2013 Raptor?
3.) They are applying the Ford Family Prices to the 2013s on the site!

wow I can't believe they now offer the 6.2L for the FX4. Over a $3000 option over the base 5.0 and $2300 over the ecoboost.
Seem a little high when a raptor come standard with it for almost the same price. well a thousand more. WTF!!
FX4 SCREW 6.2L $44K
Raptor SCREW 6.2L $45K Raptor sounds so much better now. PAY THE INSURANCE SURCHARGE ...

*They are available on FX and Lariat.

*The 2013 Raptor has been on the build site all day.

*Moreover, it was reported here 'months' ago, that HID's would not be available on the lower model ranges, only on FX/Lariat and up; at least during the first year of introduction.

Ah OK, thanks for the quick answers! I must have missed a thread or two
You wouldn't happen to know how much the HID option is on the FX4 and Lariat??

First, on my build page, the totally base/stripped Raptor Screw is $46,240 and with the destination charge it is $47,235. and no window sticker pkg. discounts.

Next, the FX4 Screw is $44,735 and with dest. chg. it is $45,730 (minus-) $1,000 window sticker pkg. discount. Total $44,730; but it also has [more] std. options and one pkg., at that price.

A fairly loaded up Raptor is going to be much more than an FX4; and you will not get an [easy] discount off of Monroney, nor any factory incentives such as cash back or Ford finance incentive. FX4's can be had at or slightly below Invoice. A few dealers will let you factory order a Raptor at +$500. over Invoice, but there will be a wait, and those dealers are hard to find and may not be local to you.

The bottom line is that the Raptor is a more expensive proposition, and not as cut and dry as your comparative analysis herein.
